Women's Domestic Violence Shelter

Nestled in the heart of suburban Tallahassee, “A Cup of Tea’’ shelter brings the 
fantastical color palette of childhood wonders to create a place of refuge for women and girls who are victims of domestic violence. Working with another design student over the course of four weeks, the design incorporates the
principles of Trauma-Informed Design. The residents are ages 16-25 and will be staying up to 6 months. Residents will most bring suitcases or backpacks with personal items. The home in Tallahassee includes five guest bedrooms and bathrooms, a living room, community/flex room, waiting area, dining areas, and an office and bedroom for a case.
